RAMSEY BEND HUNTING CLUB RULES AND REGULATIONS
Annual Dues
The annual dues will be determined by the Board of Directors on a yearly basis and shall be due and paid on or before the “First day of May” each year. Payments are to be mailed to the club PO Box or paid directly to the Secretary/Treasurer. Late payments are subject to $200 fee and members revert to new member’s status. A $25 fee will be assessed on checks returned for insufficient funds.
Dues Schedule
Ages 18 to 64 – Full Pay
Ages 65+ – 1/2 Pay if member for five consecutive years with no other reductions in future dues ; 1/4 Pay Must have been Quarter pay as of May 1, 2012
FREE Must have been Free as of May 1, 2012
Age 75+ with 5 years of consecutive full-pay years may go to ¼ pay
Member’s Vehicle
All trucks / road vehicles must have a Current Valid State License Plate and Insurance. A Current Club Validation Decal must be displayed on the front windshield, below any dark tint so that it is easily identified or a stiff fine will be assessed.
Spouse and Children
Member’s spouse/companion and children under the age of 18 or still attending high school may hunt on the member’ dues.
Florida Hunting License
Members must have a valid Florida Hunting License, and obey all game laws and club rules.
Minors
Minors under the age of 16 may not be in possession of a firearm unless accompanied by adult member, twenty-one years of age or older. At age 16 a minor must have completed the state’s Hunter Safety Course. Per our land agreement, members should ensure that all minors are under the supervision of a parent or guardian (this includes driving vehicles on club property), as the parent or guardian is responsible for their safety and actions.
Alcoholic Beverage
Possession or consumption of any alcoholic beverage while on property leased by Ramsey Bend Hunting Club is a violation of the Landowner Lease Agreement and is prohibited.
Visitors
Visitors are permitted only when accompanied by a member.
Guest’s Conduct and Actions
Members shall be accountable for their guest’s conduct and actions while on club property. Any violation by a guest will be charged against the sponsor member.
Rights of Others
All members shall respect the rights of others and shall conduct themselves in a respectful and courteous manner towards other members and guests.
Member’s Vehicle and Camp
Any member’s vehicle or camp shall be subject to search by any Club Officer or any officer to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
Cutting, Destroying and Damaging
Cutting, destroying or damaging timber, fences, gates, locks, logging equipment or any other personal or club property is prohibited and grounds for termination.
Fires
Members must not leave any fires unattended. Individuals caught setting brush fires will be expelled and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Work Program
Members and their guests will in no way interfere with the land owner or any contractor operating on club leased property, performing any work such as logging, site prep, tree planting, road maintenance, etc. Right-of-way must be given and use of caution is required.
Gates
Gates must be locked after entering or leaving club leased property. A $500 fine will be assessed to a member that does not close and lock the gates, even if they were already open when they approached. Members driving around gates will be considered in violation of this rule.
Garbage
All garbage must be dumped in designated areas, or removed from club leased lands. Members littering or dumping garbage on club leased properties will be subject to stiff fines and/or expulsion.
Camping: Camping is limited to designated campsites.
Vehicles
All trucks/road vehicles must remain on the main grades or established roads and are not allowed on any fire or bike trails. Vehicles are not to be parked in such a manner as to obstruct roads or fire lanes.
All Terrain Vehicles
Four wheel ATV’s and UTV’s only are authorized for use on club property. Two and three wheeled ATV’s or motorcycles are prohibited by the Landowner Lease Agreement.
Hunting, Dog Training Seasons and Game Quotas
All hunting season, dog training season and game quotas will be in compliance with FFWCC Regulations, with the following noted exceptions.
• An outer garment of Hunter Orange must be worn during General Gun season.
Turkey Season
During any Turkey season only gobblers or bearded turkeys shall be considered legal game.
Fur Trapping
Fur trapping by members will be allowed from the first day following General Gun Deer Season until the last day of the State Trapping Season or until March 1st, whichever comes first.
Wild Hogs
Wild hogs may be harvested from May 1st until September 1st, by members only!
Hunting dogs may be kenneled on the grounds of private camp leases. Members utilizing the designated campsites may kennel dogs at the Ramsey Bend Hunting Club camp sites.
Authorized Firearms
Rimfire weapons are the only authorized firearms allowed on the club property during periods closed to hunting.
Reward
A reward of $500.00 will be paid for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone trespassing, violating game laws, destroying or damaging club or personal property.
Penalties
Prior to moving an illegal deer a member must notify a board member that the member, a family member or a guest has taken an illegal deer. A $100 fine will be assessed. If the illegal deer is moved and not reported, the member will have to go before the board to determine the appropriate penalty.
Supplemental Game Feed
All supplemental game feed shall be removed from all Ramsey Bend Hunting Club leased land by the last day of Small Game Season until the end of Spring Gobbler Season.
Lighting Device
The utilization of any lighting device (shining) is allowed year round. During General Gun season, a 12 midnight curfew will be enforced.
Stands
Knowingly placing a stand within two hundred yards of another’s established stand is prohibited.
VIOLATION OF THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS COULD RESULT IN FINES, SUSPENSION AND/OR EXPULSION FROM THE RAMSEY BEND HUNTING CLUB.

- Students between the ages of 18 to 21 must provide written documentation to the board from the institution that he/she is enrolled at with a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.
- Children of members who are serving on active military duty may hunt on members’ dues while on official leave. Military person must have their Military ID card and official leave papers.

Members must have a valid Florida Hunting License, and obey all game laws and club rules.

- Fishing visitors are permitted anytime.
- Visitors are permitted during any hunting season when no more than one firearm or hunting weapon is in member’s vehicle.
- Guest badges may be obtained from any Club Officer or Director, for $30.00 per day or an annual pass for $100.00 and must be paid in advanced. Annual pass stickers must be displayed with your club sticker on the windshield of your vehicle.
- Hunting guests are permitted only during the General Gun Season.
- No hunting guest will be allowed during the Archery, Crossbow, Black Powder and Spring Turkey Seasons.
- During the General Gun Hunting Season any visitor accompanying a member will be considered a hunting guest and required to pay the guest fee if the member’s vehicle contains more than one hunting firearm.
- A member may have only one guest per day; guest must remain in close company of the sponsor member.
- Any member violating this rule shall be subject to the following: 1st Offense $200 fine; 2nd Offense expulsion.
Guest’s Conduct and Actions

- Refusal to allow such search shall be grounds for expulsion from Ramsey Bend Hunting Club.

- A $150.00 Yearly Camper Permit is required for the extended use of either Ramsey Bend Hunting Club campsites.
- All self-contained campers (travel trailers/motor homes) must have a Yearly Camper Permit, affixed in such a manner so as to be visible from the campground road.
- No permanent structures, cook sheds or dog pens can be built on club leased property.
- Yearly camper fees must be remitted with membership dues, on or before May 1st each year. If camper sticker is not purchased, dues will not be accepted the following year until previous years camper fees are paid.
- Camper permits are non-transferable.
- Campsites shall remain clean at all times.
- The number of private campsites cannot be increased by creating or moving one from another club into Ramsey Bend Hunting Club.
- Swimming in rock pits on the property is prohibited due to insurance liability.
Vehicles
All trucks/road vehicles must remain on the main grades or established roads and are not allowed on any fire or bike trails. Vehicles are not to be parked in such a manner as to obstruct roads or fire lanes.
All Terrain Vehicles
Four wheel ATV’s and UTV’s only are authorized for use on club property. Two and three wheeled ATV’s or motorcycles are prohibited by the Landowner Lease Agreement.
- ATV’S and UTV’s are not permitted on main roads during the general gun season, however during the off season they are allowed on the road. Per the landowner, they are not to be in the praires and ditches
- During the general gun season ATV’s may be off-road from main roads and used to access tree stands or retrieve game.
Hunting, Dog Training Seasons and Game Quotas
All hunting season, dog training season and game quotas will be in compliance with FFWCC Regulations, with the following noted exceptions.
- No does are to be harvested on Ramsey Bend lease property during the 2023-24 season, which includes Archery, Muzzleloading or General Gun and the State Anterless Deer Weekend, unless club doe permits are awarded. Doe permits are only to be filled on the State Anterless deer weekend. The Board will determine the number of doe permits issued each year.
- Dog running in Ramsey Bend Hunting Club is allowed year round EXCEPT during Spring Gobbler Season & Archery Season (until Spring toughening season begins) According to State Guidelines, on private land, free running dogs are prohibited from running dear except during toughening season and general gun season. However, coyote, hog, fox and bobcat may be chased throughout the year with free running dogs.
- During Small Game Season no center fire rifles or shot shells containing shot larger than # 4 common birdshot will be allowed.
• An outer garment of Hunter Orange must be worn during General Gun season.
Turkey Season
During any Turkey season only gobblers or bearded turkeys shall be considered legal game.
- Exceptions may be made by Special Action of the Board of Directors, as may be allowed by State Regulations.
Fur Trapping
Fur trapping by members will be allowed from the first day following General Gun Deer Season until the last day of the State Trapping Season or until March 1st, whichever comes first.
Wild Hogs
Wild hogs may be harvested from May 1st until September 1st, by members only!
- Hog dogs may be used to aid in the harvest during this time only and are not allowed on club property during General Gun or any other season.
- Hog pens are allowed year round except during spring gobbler season (this rule takes effect two weeks before youth turkey weekend)
Hunting dogs may be kenneled on the grounds of private camp leases. Members utilizing the designated campsites may kennel dogs at the Ramsey Bend Hunting Club camp sites.
- Per state law all hunting dogs are required to have on their collars the Deer Dog Registration number for RBHC ( # 0099 ).
- No free running dogs shall be allowed.
Authorized Firearms
Rimfire weapons are the only authorized firearms allowed on the club property during periods closed to hunting.
Reward
A reward of $500.00 will be paid for information leading to the arrest and conviction of anyone trespassing, violating game laws, destroying or damaging club or personal property.
- If more than one person is responsible for reporting the violation, both parties shall share the reward.
Penalties

Lighting Device

Stands
Knowingly placing a stand within two hundred yards of another’s established stand is prohibited.
- Operation of a motor vehicle in close proximity to another established stand is prohibited.
- Stands shall be limited to no more than four per membership.
- All stands shall be identified with member’s name, in a manner so as to be readily visible.
- All trail markers (a ribbon marking the trail leading to a stand, with members name and date) shall be removed from the stand site immediately upon removal of stand from the area.
VIOLATION OF THESE RULES AND REGULATIONS COULD RESULT IN FINES, SUSPENSION AND/OR EXPULSION FROM THE RAMSEY BEND HUNTING CLUB.
